THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE WORLD
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, is present and active among the hearers of the Good News even before the Church's missionary action comes into operation.
They may in many cases have already responded implicitly to God's offer of salvation in Jesus Christ, a sign of this being the sincere practice of their own religious traditions insofar as these contain authentic religious values.
They may have already been touched by the Spirit and in some way associated unknowingly to the paschal mystery of Jesus Christ.
